PictureWelcome to the Old Bakery Emporium’s website. These pages will give you a pretty good idea of what we’re all about and hopefully you’ll find the piece that you’ve been hunting for!

A family-run business built with our own personal passion, the Emporium specializes in all things vintage and is an eclectic array of up-cycled, painted country furniture, rugs, pictures, french shabby chic, kitchenalia, vintage clothing and accessories, stylish interior adornment, jewelry, curios, collectables and much much more.. There are two floors with several different areas stocked by fellow passionate enthusiasts!

If you see something you like on the ‘shop floor’ page then either call or email to reserve or enquire about the item but please don’t be disappointed if it is no longer available, as items are generally one-offs. As the stock is constantly changing, it is difficult to keep up with updating the images! Please feel free to get in touch if there is anything we can help with.

Situated in Hadleigh’s original 19th century bakery off the High Street in the heart of the oldest part of town at the crossroads with George Street, it was formerly known as Bloomfield’s Bakery, with the original cast iron ovens from 1916 still on site. The history of the building dates back centuries. From the first day of opening we have had customers reciting stories about the building and met people who worked here in the old bakery days. Recently we had a customer tracing his family tree and told us his family owned the building in 1742 and it was a bakery even then!
